In order to understand the full concepts of AWS, it is must to learn the basic definition of Cloud Computing and here we go with the same.
What is Cloud Computing?
Accessing the information and storing the data on the internet is known as cloud computing. In cloud computing data will be stored in remote servers you can access the data from there.
What is AWS?
Amazon web service is a platform that offers cost effective cloud computing solutions.
AWS helps an Individual or an Organization to build an application, store the Data & to deliver the content.
Many Techies use AWS as its Products are Reliable. Moreover AWS Provides Cloudplatform to Small Scale as well as Large Scale Industries for their applications to build on.
AWS Features :
- Serverless Cloud Function
This Feature of AWS is very flexible and highly economical. It can be used independently or in a group based upon the User requirement.
There are 3 types of Storage Facilities provided by AWS :
Amazon Simple Storage Service: This can be opted if the user needs Analytics & Data Backup.
Amazon Glacier : This can be used for Long term Storage Plans.
The Amazon EBS : It provides Back level Storage Volumes.
As per the User requirement, Amazon Provides the database which is completely managed by Amazon themselves. Some of the databases which are widely used are listed below:
- Data Warehouse
- Relational Database
- Non-Relational Database
- Graph Database
- In-memory Data Store
Serverless Cloud Function:
This feature is one of the Most Important and User Benefitted features as the user can focus only on application building and Server Managing task & Infrastructure Administration is the responsibility of the AWS.
TOOLS OF AWS :
AWS First-Party Monitoring Tools
- AWS Certificate Manager
- AWS CloudWatch
- Amazon EC2 Dashboard
- AWS CloudTrail
- AWS Snowcone
AWS Certificate Manager :
Managing and applying of Transport layer security (TLS) and secure sockets layer (SSL) certificates will be done by Certificate Manager.
We can secure our network connections and we can prove our Device and Service authenticity with the help of Certificate Manager.
AWS CloudWatch :
This is a Service which is used to respond to all the service metrics which we have in AWS.
Alarms & Events are the two main components of cloudwatch. With the help of Alarms, Alerts will be created according to the Threshold limit for Single Metrics. And with the help of Events, Automatic responses will be delivered to Metric Values.
Amazon EC2 Dashboard:
Amazon EC2 Dashboard can be used to monitor and maintain our EC2 instances and infrastructure. It is a great Monitoring tool for the Amazon EC2 Virtual machine. With this dashboard we can view service health & Manage status reports & Alarms and also we can view Scheduled Events and we can also assess the Instance Metrics & Volume.
AWS CloudTrail :
With this Cloud Trail service we can track events across our account. It automatically records all the activity logs & event logs of our services and stores the data in s3.
Timestamps, Traffic origin IPs & User Identities are the Main Data which is collected by AWS Cloud Trail.
Without any fee, we can view all the Management Events for 90 days and with an additional fee we can see Data Events & Insights.
AWS Snowcone :
AWS Snowcone is a Service which is managed by AWS as it provides direct point support to the clients. It is actually perfectly designed to meet the good or normal or generic or even remote and extreme situations.
Snowcone does support AWS IoT Green grass, which has the perfect ability to run Local storage as well as Amazon EC2. Also it can be used as a data aggregation point or lightweight analytics engine. Users actually can capture and then process the information and can move the same from AWS Snowcone to AWS Cloud by offline mode i.e, shipping the unit to AWS by using its E Ink Shipping label or by other online method using Ethernet or WIFI with AWS Datasync.
In the coming days we see tremendous growth of Interest among Edge computing for helping & supporting the clients to get their applications much closer to end users which reduces the cost of data transfer and also provides the real time output.
With the recent updated release of AWS Snowcone, there is much flexibility and choice as it strongly solves the problem of data transfer of remote and disconnected situations.
NetApp Cloud Insights :
NetApp Cloud Insights is a tool which is used for Monitoring. This Monitoring Activity helps us in Visualizing our Infrastructure which is our Main source of venture. It also helps us to Optimize & Troubleshoot the resources in all the clouds which are public as well as Private. Conditional Alerting, predictive Analytics , Recommendations for Optimization, & Compliance Auditing & Anomaly Detection are the Main features included in Cloud Insights.
Zenoss ZenPack :
This is a tool where we can Aggregate External Resource Metrics date & Cloudwatch Metrics data both. Its AWS Services are S3 , Amazon Suite, & Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC). All these services are easily compatible with Zenpack with an easy GUI (Graphical User Interface).
It is an Opensource tool and all the micro level services can be monitored & Visualized. An Interface, a Probe & An app are the three components where the weave scope is totally based on. In real time we are enabled to troubleshoot service performance in real time. It is Compatible with Elastic Container Services (ECS) and it contains features for Service Discovery.
Hence we have gone through the complete Understanding & Overview of AWS Introduction, Its Features and its Tools. This is the Information which is quite basic as AWS is the vast subject to be dealt with. This information can give you the basic insight of the subject where the user can make the decision at his/her own interest.
